Buying a new horse is exciting but we want to make sure that you are covered in the unlikely event that something should go wrong.
Before buying a horse through RH Equine, please read the terms of sale carefully to ensure you are satisfied with the agreement.
First of all, I would like to explain our commitment to you and what we would like in return
Our commitment to you
We will always advertise the horse honestly and to the best of our knowledge
We will be honest at the time of viewing if we feel the horse and rider, in our opinion are/are not a good match – although this is only our opinion – it is ultimately your decision
We will state all health or soundness issues to the best of our knowledge in the advert and at time of viewing
We will offer advice, support and after care once a sale has been made
Your commitment to us
You will be honest in your riding ability and ownership experience
You will only buy a horse if you are in a position to fund not only the horse but the care costs which also include regular back , teeth and saddle checks
If you are a novice , you will bring someone more experienced with you to the viewing IE – instructor
You will allow the horse to settle and get used to its environment with help from an experienced horse person if needed.
You will not speak about RH Equine in an negative manner on social media or otherwise should the horse you purchased not be suitable. – we would like to think you would allow us to help first allowing you to give feedback based on the full experience which includes resolving the issue by sticking to the terms and conditions below.
BUYING A HORSE OWNED BY RH EQUINE
A horse owned by RH EQUINE (Roxanne Hennebery) will be sold with a 14 day money back warranty. This will incur a 10% returns fee. Warranty can be extended if required, up to 30 days but must be agreed between buyer and RH Equine. We want to ensure you are matched to the right horse so regular updates throughout the warranty is a must.
The horse will be returned in the same condition as in which it left with no new vices, lumps or bumps or health issues. The horse must be sound. ( we may request a vet to check the horse prior to collection or delivery of the horse)
Transport costs will be covered by the buyer. Funds will be released once the horse has been checked minus the 10% fee.
A horse can be returned for any reason other than health issues – we will never sell a lame or sick horse.
A vetting is recommended prior to purchase. We will not take any horse back that is unsound or any health issues.
After the warranty period , sales livery will be available for customers at a reduced rate.
BUYING A HORSE OWNED ON SALES LIVERY
RH Equine often sell horses on behalf of clients and are acting purely as an agent. The horse will be assessed and advertised based on the sellers description and our short assessment.
Should the horse not be suited to the buyers needs, an agreement should be made between buyer and seller. RH equine are under no obligation to collect the horse and return funds, this will need to be arranged between both parties.
RH Equine are happy to offer advice and support as well as after care – lessons or sales livery if required.
Disclaimer of liability
The management would like to remind you that participation in any equine sport involves a degree of risk to all who are involved and although we endeavor to provide a safe environment we, employee or representative of these bodies accept no liability for any loss, damage, injury, or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land or any person or property whatsoever, whether caused by negligence, breach of contract or in any way whatsoever. We respectfully suggest that you take out sufficient insurance to cover yourself and your possessions for your activities. RH Equine are not responsible for any injury / damages either on RH Equine property or buyers land/yard once the horse has sold or at any event organised by RH Equine in any location.
